Rising Government Bond Yields Are A Threat For The Equity Markets

Having touched historical low levels in July, developed markets’ government bond yields rebounded over the last few weeks. In the US, the Government bond yields rose from 1.35% in July up to 1.73%, in Japan from -0.28% to 0% and in Germany from -0.19% to 0.01%.

The upward trend of yields started after the release of some better than expected economic data in the US in early July…
